Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the CoreFi platform (“the Service”), operated by JG Core Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company #16218779) (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

CoreFi is a personal finance tracking and visualisation tool. The Service allows you to:

• Connect bank accounts via Open Banking (powered by TrueLayer)
• View account balances, transactions, and financial summaries
• Track income, expenses, net worth, and financial goals
• Track investment and cryptocurrency portfolios with tax calculations
• Connect to HMRC Government Gateway for Self Assessment and VAT data
• Connect to Xero for business financial data
• Store expense receipts for HMRC record-keeping
• Access 29 financial tools (tax calculators, mortgage packs, pension trackers, etc.)
• Access free educational financial content
• Generate financial reports, projections, and video summaries
• Use an Enterprise API for programmatic data access

4. Account Registration

• You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service
• You must provide accurate and complete registration information
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account
• One person may not maintain more than one account

5. Subscription Tiers and Payment

CoreFi offers the following subscription tiers:

• Free: Basic financial tracking features
• Pro: Advanced features including Open Banking, projections, and video previews
• Premium: Full access including business equity tracking, advanced analytics, and video exports

Billing: Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually. Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise recurring charges to your payment method.

Price Changes: We will give you at least 30 days' notice of any price changes via email.

6. Cancellation and Cooling-Off Period

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase to cancel your paid subscription for a full refund.

To cancel within the cooling-off period, email hello@corefi.app with your account email and the word “cancel”.

After the cooling-off period: You can cancel your subscription at any time. Your access will continue until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are given for the remainder of a billing period.

Auto-renewal: Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period. You will receive a reminder email at least 7 days before renewal.

7. Open Banking Terms

When you connect a bank account via Open Banking:

• Account information services are provided through TrueLayer, which is authorised and regulated by the FCA (FRN: 901096)
• You authenticate directly with your bank - we never access or store your bank login credentials
• You consent to TrueLayer retrieving your account and transaction data on our behalf
• You can revoke this consent at any time via the CoreFi app, your banking app, or by contacting your bank
• JG Core Ltd is not itself authorised or regulated by the FCA

8. Acceptable Use

You must not use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or data
• Interfere with the operation of the Service
• Upload malicious software or content
• Use the Service for money laundering, fraud, or other illegal financial activities
• Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service

9. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Service (including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, and software) are owned by JG Core Ltd and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your financial data remains your own. You grant us a licence to store, process, and display it to provide the Service.

10. Data Portability

You can export your data at any time in CSV or JSON format from the Settings page. Upon account termination, we will provide a 30-day window to export your data before it is permanently deleted.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of financial data obtained via Open Banking
• We are not liable for any financial decisions you make based on information from the Service
• Our total liability to you is limited to the fees you have paid us in the preceding 12 months

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury, fraud, or anything else that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

12. Consumer Rights

As a UK consumer, you have statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. The Service must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. Nothing in these Terms affects these statutory rights.

13. Service Availability

We aim to keep the Service available 24/7 but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend the Service for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We will provide reasonable notice where possible.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms. You may close your account at any time via Settings or by emailing hello@corefi.app.

Upon termination, you will have 30 days to export your data. After 90 days, your data will be permanently deleted.

15. Disputes and Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If you have a complaint, please contact hello@corefi.app and we will aim to resolve it within 14 days.

16. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
